Louisiana Political Action Committee

    Like it or not, healthcare and politics have become more and more entangled than in previous years.  Many issues are obvious while others hide under an arcane titled bill lurking about in the halls of the Capitol. Politics has a significant influence on your (and others scope of practice), fees and reimbursements, health insurance regulations and many other practice-affecting-issues. 

Who represents you? 

The Louisiana Orthopaedic Political Action Committee represents you and your orthopaedic interest in the political arena.  Clark Gunderson, MD, serves as the chairman of LOPAC. 

How is LOPAC funded?

The committee is funded by personal (not corporate or practice) contributions made by the members of the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association. 

How much should you contribute?

Contributions are a personal matter.  The average contribution has been increased from $326 per contributor in 2004 to $426 in 2008.
